Upper Yolo Bypass StudyThe Upper Yolo Bypass Plan Interim Draft Plan (Plan) is a California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (SAFCA) product intended to guide future federal, State, and local investments in the Upper Yolo Bypass, the area between Fremont Weir and I-80. The Plan documents the Upper Yolo Bypass Regional Planning and Coordination Process (Planning Process) that DWR and SAFCA initiated in 2023.
Yolo Bypass Cache Slough Master PlanThe Yolo Bypass Cache Slough (YBCS) Master Plan is a State of California document that supports continued efforts of the YBCS Partnership. The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) developed the Public Draft of the YBCS Master Plan in close coordination with the Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB). DWR and CVFPB received input from other members of the YBCS Partnership and California Tribes during the planning process.
USACE Federal Comprehensive StudyThrough the Water Resources Development Act of 2020 (WRDA), Congress directed the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to conduct a Comprehensive Study of the Yolo Bypass system to evaluate flood risk management, ecosystem restoration, water supply, and recreation. The authorization also directed USACE to consult with the State of California, applicable Federal, State, and local agencies, Tribal nations, non-Federal interests, the Yolo Bypass Cache Slough Partnership and other stakeholders in conducting the Study.  
Central Valley Flood Protection PlanThe Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) is California’s strategic blueprint to improve flood risk management in the Central Valley. Prepared by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) in accordance with the Central Valley Flood Protection Act of 2008 (Act) and adopted by the Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB) in June 2012, the CVFPP guides the State’s participation in managing flood risk in areas protected by the State Plan of Flood Control (SPFC). The CVFPP is updated every 5 years in accordance with the Act.
